About the Role
Assistant Merchandising Manager is responsible for overseeing procurement and merchandising operations to ensure efficient sourcing, inventory control, and supplier performance.
This role supports business operations by ensuring timely product availability, cost optimization, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee procurement and merchandising activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of products and services.
Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with operational and business requirements.
Manage relationships and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and ensure the best value for the company.
Oversee warehouse operations to ensure proper inventory handling, storage, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and internal teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
Ensure accurate inventory records and proper stock control through regular monitoring and reconciliation.
Ensure procurement and warehouse processes comply with company policies, internal controls, and operational procedures.
Analyze purchasing, inventory, and warehouse performance data to support operational and management decisions.
Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and others that require aligning procurement and inventory strategies with business needs.
Assist in supervising merchandising and warehouse coordination activities when required.
Prepare procurement and inventory reports and provide operational updates to management.
About You
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply Chain, procurement, or related field.
5 - 10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or merchandising roles.
Experience in both buying/procurement and merchandising (product selection, pricing, stock).
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills are important.
Knowledge of inventory systems, purchasing software, and ERP tools.
Good understanding of ISO standards and SOP compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Able to work independently and coordinate cross-functional tasks.
Good communication skills in Thai and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing software is a plus.
