About the Role

The Drone Pilot Cum Technician is Responsible for the safe and compliant operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. The role involves conducting UAS missions, monitoring airspace and flight safety, maintaining accurate flight logs and daily reports, and performing repair and maintenance of UAS equipment. The pilot also identifies and reports operational abnormalities, supports continuous safety improvement, and ensures compliance with ISO 9001 and CAD 6011 (II) Agricultural UAS Operations requirements. Requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and a passion for unmanned aircraft technology in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct UAS work in compliance with authority regulations and standards.

• Performing unaided visual scanning of the airspace in which the UAS is operating for any potential hazard in the air.

• Ensures the flight path and area is clear of any obstacles and intrusion in the mission area.

• Practice good conduct of work according to organization’s standards (Operations Manual).

• Ensure the UAS is operated in a safe condition throughout all phases of flight.

• Submit all operating UAS’s flight log and daily work report.

• Repair and provide maintenance for an unmanned aerial vehicle and related equipment.

• Provide services according to the process and procedures.

• Report on any abnormalities when operating UAS to Team Lead or FOM for next action to be taken to prevent from posing any safety or hazard risk to human, equipment, and environment.

• Commit and discharge duties in compliance with the ISO 9001 and CAD 6011 (II) Agricultural UAS Operations’ requirements and standards.

About You

• Minimum SPM/ SPVM with C+ in English and Technical certificate or Diploma in Electronic, Mechanical or any other engineering discipline.

• Good communication Bahasa Malaysia and fair command in English.

• Technical troubleshooting skills.

• Problem solving skills.

• Basic competency in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

• Passionate in unmanned aircraft technology and application for agricultural sector.
